School Ground Clean Up for Earth Day! Literacy/ Science: For Earth day, students wrote persuasive essays about which energy source would be best for Albertans to use.  Students presented more expert stations! Math: Students started order of operations and fractions!  Science: We started looking at transportation systems in plants! Art: Students added texture to their flowers using oil pastels.  IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES April 27 - Enrolment Intentions Forms due please (We still have over 350 that are NOT completed.) CONGRATULATIONS TO THE GRADE 5 SCIENCE FAIR STUDENTS  We are very proud of the Grade 5 students at Northern Lights School for their hard work on their Science Fair projects in February. We would also like to congratulate the three students who were selected to represent our school at the Calgary Youth Science Fair by presenting their projects at the Olympic Oval this past weekend. Well done to Martha, Alisha and Evanna!  Literacy: More persuasive writing!  Math: More area and perimeter!
